Why Moral Threads Exists

Moral Threads is a safe space for emerging designers to share their stories, values, and visions.

I started this project out of frustration with an industry that feels increasingly stagnant and stuck within a Eurocentric bind—the same names everywhere, fast fashion polluting the underbelly, and too little support for new voices. Fashion at its best is expansive and imaginative, and I believe it’s emerging talent who keep it alive.

Fashion is the language I return to. I began as a lawyer, moved into the art world, and eventually fell in love with fashion’s rare hybrid of creativity and utility. I love the versatile acumen of designers, and how their work constantly makes me reconsider the ways I live in my body, and through the world around me.

Here I profile designers whose work I believe is worth your attention and investment — not just for what they create, but for why they do it. Each conversation explores care, ethics, quality, and culture, told in their own words. More than anything, Moral Threads is about optimism: celebrating the people who light up my soul and, I hope, will spark yours too.

Thread by thread, these voices are reweaving what fashion can mean across cultures—binding us, artfully, into a global fabric of care.
